Emirates Airline has signed a deal with the New York Racing Association (NYRA) that will see it become the presenting sponsor of the True North Handicap, one of six graded races at Belmont Park on Belmont Stakes Day on 11th June.
The race carries a prize fund of US$250,000 and it is believed that Emirates will be funding a percentage of this.
Emirates staff will present the trophy to the owners of the winning horse in the six-furlong race and the company will conduct a 'Get to know Emirates Airline' competition in which people will compete to win two business class tickets to Dubai.

Emirates is already a sponsor of the Belmont Stakes day itself and has been a partner of the NYRA, which runs thoroughbred racing at New York's three major race tracks, since 2005.
The airline also has a major partnership in place with the Breeders' Cup and has several other horse racing sponsorships around the world, amongst them the Dubai World Cup, the Melbourne Cup, the Singapore Derby and Godolphin Racing.
