According to the US Department of State, successful missions of exercise planning took place in March and May. The next step is to start this bilateral exercise involving ground forces.
Earlier, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Russian Armed Forces General Nikolay Makarov reported that the aim of the Atlas Vision exercise is practising joint actions of the ground forces of the two countries taking part in peacemaking operations under UN auspices.
According to some sources, the exercise is to be held in the German city of Auerbach between the 18th and 22nd of July.
